Top 15 Worst-Selling New Cars in America for 2015

Even though December was not a very good month for car sales, 2015 as a year, was the first time since 2001 auto sales crossed the 17 million mark making it a “WIN” for retail car sales as an industry.

The vehicles on the worst-selling list below did not contribute much to the years overall number, however, every little bit helps. Many of the vehicles below are about to be replaced or have been discontinued by the manufacturer to make room for newer models entering the market place. Keep in mind, there are a few vehicles on the list that are very expensive and are not expected to produce very high sales numbers.

If you’re the type of person that doesn’t mind if a vehicle is about to be phased out and plan on keeping it until the wheels fall off. You can use the list below to find yourself a nice reliable vehicle and a great deal to go along with it.

Now that we’re in 2016, dealers will want to move these older age, discontinued units. They’re taking up space and the longer they stick around on the lot, the more expensive they become for the dealer. Knowing this information (and playing your cards right) will put you in a great advantage if you’re in the market for one of these cars.

As a vehicle gets discontinued and the available inventory starts to reduce. It makes it hard for a consumer to find one of these vehicles and then find one equipped exactly as they’d like. If you’re flexible on color choices how the vehicle’s equipped you should have no problem finding a car that meets your driving needs.

Competition Between Dealers Always Gets You the Best Price

When negotiating a new car’s price, it’s important to know the dealer invoice price and what other people are paying for the same vehicle in your local area. Otherwise, you won’t know what’s a good price to pay for the vehicle.

I highly recommend using an online referral service such as Ryde Shopper or Motor Trend, their quotes will automatically include any discounts or cash-back incentives currently available in the marketplace.
