If you’re in the market for certified pre-owned vehicle that will hold its value. You can increase your chances by purchasing a Toyota, Ford or Nissan product.
Toyota, including the Lexus and Scion brands, and Ford with its Lincoln line, had the most individual winners in the Best Certified Pre-Owned Car Values list with seven vehicles a piece. Second place belongs to Nissan and its Infiniti line taking six individual categories.
Our friends over at Cars.com use a company by the name of Vincentric to provide the data behind their Cost of Ownership tool. Vincentric analyzed each vehicle on the list and looked at several areas such as maintenance costs, insurance, fuel, financing, repair costs, depreciation, fees, and taxes across all fifty states and the District of Colombia. The vehicles on the list consumed 15,000 miles annually and the winners of each category where the vehicles with the lowest ownership costs in their respected categories.
Check out the winners in each vehicle category below.
Competition Between Dealers Always Gets You the Best Price
When negotiating a new car’s price, it’s important to know the dealer invoice price and what other people are paying for the same vehicle in your local area. Otherwise, you won’t know what’s a good price to pay for the vehicle.
I highly recommend using an online referral service such as Ryde Shopper or Motor Trend, their quotes will automatically include any discounts or cash-back incentives currently available in the marketplace.
