Most of the vehicles on the worst selling list are discontinued models or vehicles about to be replaced. Although there are a few vehicles such as the Fiat 500L and the Dodge Avenger lacking such an excuse.
New car shoppers can use this list for doing research. If you don't care if a vehicle's being phased out and are just looking for a good deal. You can see what vehicles are doing poorly in sales. These vehicles still cost the dealer money if they sit on the lot too long. So a dealer will more willing to make a deal to get it off the lot and make room for a newer model.
If you're one of those people who worry about resale value, you'll want to stay away from any of the vehicles on this list. Vehicles tend to lose value quickly after being discontinued or the public begins to lose interest in them.
There was a three-way tie for the worst-selling vehicle in November. The Acura TL, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, and the Toyota FJ Cruiser all reported only one single sale each for the month. Ironically, NADA Used Car Guides just announced the 2012 Toyota FJ Cruiser is the number one vehicle with the best resale value after three years.
See all the other vehicles to make it onto the top 20 worst-selling vehicles for the month of November 2015.
When negotiating a new car's price, it's important to know the dealer invoice price and what other people are paying for the same vehicle in your local area. Otherwise, you won't know what's a good price to pay for the vehicle.
I highly recommend using an online referral service such as CarClearanceDeals or Edmunds, their quotes will automatically include any discounts or cash-back incentives currently available in the marketplace.
