What makes a car cool? Is it how it makes you feel when you slide behind the steering wheel or is it how it makes you look while driving down the road?
No matter if it's attitude, style or fun, you have more choices than ever when it comes to buying a cool car without breaking the bank.
Using a modest budget of $25,000 allows for a nice mixture of vehicles across many vehicle segments. This way you're sure to find something that fits your needs and well within your budget.
KBB.com recently named their top picks for the coolest cars under $25,000. There are a few newer vehicles on the list but the majority of the list is the time tested automotive classics. To help with your research, we've also listed the city and highway MPG and the Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Price.
The only pickup on the list is the 2015 GMC Canyon Crew Cab. The Canyon has a 9.7 consumer rating and a 8.8 rating with the experts at KBB. The GMC Canyon can carry cargo and still tow a trailer and still have much better fuel economy than a full-size pickup. The entry level or base Canyon Crew Cab can be purchased for under $25,000; However, it's easy to run up the price really quick with certain additional features.
When it comes to off-road nothing really compares to a Jeep. The 2015 Jeep Wrangler is the only SUV on the list. Powered by a 285 horsepower 3.6 liter V-6, the Wrangler will let you take the road less traveled or if you prefer, no road at all.
Many of the coolest cars fall into the midsize and compact vehicle segments. If you want agile, quick and affordable fun, take a look at the 2015 Subaru BRZ. The BRZ is the twin to the popular Scion FR-S. It get's great gas mileage and with it's 200 horsepower 2.0 Liter 4 cylinder. Its a great car for a daily driver.

When negotiating a new car's price, it’s important to know the dealer invoice price and what other people are paying for the same vehicle in your local area. Otherwise, you won’t know what's a good price to pay for the vehicle. I highly recommend using an online referral service such as Edmunds or TrueCar, their quotes will automatically include any discounts or cash-back incentives currently available in the marketplace.
