May is here and automakers continue to provide new car shoppers with zero percent or low interest finance incentives for some of the best new car finance deals available in 2016.
Along with low interest financing, many manufacturer's are combining cash back incentives to help clear out the remaining 2015 model year inventory still scattered on many of the dealer's lots.
Traditionally May marks the beginning of Summer and is a huge sales month for new car dealers. So if you're in the market to buy a car, May is one of the best times of the year to find large discounts, low interest financing, and a great deal.
Each month U.S.News sorts through its mass amount of data to bring us the best new car finance deals and incentives available for the current month. Keep in mind, offers are subject to vehicle availability, can change without notice, and some incentives may vary depending on the region or area you're located.
All of the deals on the list offer zero or low-interest finance incentives. There are a couple of manufacturers trying to stand out from the crowd by including a cash back bonus with their program.
There are a couple zero-percent finance deals out there to be had. The 2016 Buick Enclave has 0-percent financing available up to 60 months plus you can get up to $750 bonus cash. Ford is also offering zero-percent financing up to 60 months on the 2016 Ford F-150. If you're not interested in financing, take a look at the cash back deal on the F-150. There's up to $9,666 total savings depending on the region you live in PLUS $500 bonus cash available (my advice is to always do the math up front to see which way is the best way to go and which one you can most comfortably afford.)
The next best deal SUV/crossover deal is from Kia on the 2016 Sportage. You can get zero percent financing available for up to 66 months or 1.9 percent for 72 months PLUS $500 bonus cash. If you choose to go with outside financing or pay cash for the vehicle you can opt for the $1,500 cash back offer from Kia.
Toyota has a nice finance offer on the 2016 Toyota Camry. You can get zero percent financing for up to 60 months PLUS $750 in bonus cash. Toyota has this offer running until May 31, 2016.
Is a new luxury car more your style? Mercedes-Benz has 2.99 percent financing available for 24-72 months on their 2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Cadillac is offering 0 percent for 60 months on the 2016 Cadillac ATS PLUS $2,500 bonus cash. Cadillac's new car finance deal is good until June 30, 2016.
Never start the negotiation process from the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) or sticker price of a new car. First, determine what the dealer actually paid for the vehicle and then figure a fair profit offer from the dealer's actual cost. To learn more on how to figure what a dealer really paid for a car, read my section on factory invoice vs. true dealer cost.
When negotiating a new car's price, it's important to know the dealer invoice price and what other people are paying for the same vehicle in your local area. Otherwise, you won't know what's a good price to pay for the vehicle. I highly recommend using an online referral service such as CarClearanceDeals and Edmunds, their quotes will automatically include any discounts or cash-back incentives currently available.
In addition, the above sites will tell you which dealerships in your local area are currently the most flexible with their new car pricing. These sites provide valuable information for anyone thinking about buying or leasing a new car or truck.
